COMMENTAIRE: Après le Rhapsody In Blue et son succès instantané, Walter Damrosch, chef d’orchestre de la New York Symphony Society, a commandé à George Gershwin un concerto pour piano et orchestre. Ce fut un grand test, mais le Concerto en Fa est arrivé et fut joué pour la première fois avec Gershwin en tant que soliste, sous la direction de Damrosch avec le New York Symphony Orchestra au Carnegie Hall, le 3 décembre 1995.
